It has been an integral part of the economic development of societies. Even the ancient Romans paid attention to accounting. During the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, the development of accounting took on new features when business became more complicated. Merchants simply needed more accurate accounting.<\/p>\n<p>On <strong>10 November 1494<\/strong>, Luca Pacioli, the father of accounting, published a book entitled &#8216;All about arithmetic, geometry and proportion&#8217; (&#8216;Summa de Arithmetica, Geometria, Proportioni et Proportionalita&#8217;), which described in detail Venice&#8217;s accounts.<\/p>\n<p>This book became the first print work on the double-entry method, which described most of the accounting cycle in a modern understanding of the process.
