TOP 7 best business books from SimplBooks

We have a significant amount of different business books in our SimplBooks office dealing with entrepreneurship, economy, investments, biographies and self-development. We will list the best books we have read and enjoyed (in random order) as follows:

Priceless: The Myth of Fair Value – William Poundstone

Extremely practical book for everybody responsible for sale and designing product-service prices. Whether higher prices and less clients or the other way round? How can a higher price bring more clients and does less mean more? The book contains several real examples from life, supported by different studies. If you have not read the book, it is very likely that you have given wrong price tags to your products and services.

Shoe Dog: A Memoir by the Creator of NIKE – Phil Knight

One of the best and most exciting stories about the creation of a major brand and enterprise. This is a book that creates a totally new viewpoint at the brand called Nike. The book includes drama, happiness, taking all-in risks, love, major deals and tension, so it is far from being boring. Shoe Dog is one of the most highly valued books in the Good Reads environment.

Rework – Jason Fried & David Heinemeier Hansson

Seth Godin has said: “You will be responsible for your own risk if you ignore this book.” I totally agree with him. What concerns entrepreneurship, it has provided the best advice in entrepreneurship. Although you might be eager to read the book through very quickly (because it is so interesting), it would be a better idea to read it by 1-2 chapters at a time. Whereby each chapter is only 1-2 pages long and it would be a good idea to let each chapter sink in and transfer the chapter into the context of your enterprise. Rework provides you with all the tricks and skills how to be successful faster.

Elon Musk: Tesla, SpaceX, and the Quest for a Fantastic Future – Ashlee Vance

A fantastic book to read. An exciting review of the life of Elon Musk and how he has managed to take several of his enterprises on top of the world. The book keeps up your suspense so that it is difficult to put the book down as it is a very good book for lighter entertainment and reading. And naturally it is a New York Times bestseller :)

Rikkaks saamise õpik: teadmised rahast, mida Sulle koolis ei õpetatud – Jaak Roosaare (In Estonian)

This is a book of knowledge about money that was not taught to you at school. The title may be misleading and cause prejudice. Actually it is a very honest and simple book describing relevant issues very rationally and clearly. The book is definitely useful for many people who want to improve their personal financial position. It gives interesting and simple examples of investing, daily use of money and the general attitude to money. This easy reading does not mean that there is nothing new in it – I personally got many good ideas and new knowledge from it and implemented them immediately. Hence – highly recommended!

The One Thing: The Surprisingly Simple Truth Behind Extraordinary Results – Gary Keller, Jay Papasan

The book has been among the top of different book sale lists (Wall Street Journal, Amazon, The New York Times). The One Thing gives a good overview of what one has to focus on in order to achieve success. It enables to see the bigger picture and then focus on the most relevant. How to use time more usefully and by that be more productive. It is a book that has changed the life (habits) of many readers.

Black Belt in Sales – Tarmo Tamm

Marc Cuban has said: “Sale solves all problems.” Or in other words – sales skills are not required only in sales because EVERY entrepreneur needs them. It is useful for everybody and in any situation, in which self-expression is required (in relationships, with friends, colleagues, while bringing up children). It is a very practical book and all issues are well-explained by using different examples. As I am connected with sales work and marketing, it was good to read the book chapter by chapter. It was possible to digest a certain chapter for a day or two and make adjustments in my own work. Ten points and highly recommended!
